Psycho-geriatric Services in India
NEEDS AND CHALLENGES OF PSYCHO-GERIATRIC SERVICES IN INDIA

The population of older adults in India is increasing at a fast pace. Studies report that mental health morbidity in older adults is enormous (20.5%), which necessitated immediate need for developing geriatric mental health services in India. Present article examined the issues and challenges of geriatric mental health in the country and outlined strategic options.
