A comparative analysis of specific learning disability and mental retardation.
Socio-cultural dynamics influence care pathways in children with developmental disorder

Children with specific learning disability share similar barriers in care pathways as those with mental retardation. Socio- cultural dynamics play a role in seeking help. The role of teachers, neighbours, guardians of other children and relatives is significant as they refer maximum children in both groups to the right care.
