Este trabalho contribui para o tratamento da hipossalivação causada por antidepressivos

EFEITO ANTICOLINÉRGICO DE ANTIDEPRESSIVOS SOBRE AS GLÂNDULAS PARÓTIDAS DE RATOS

Pode-se concluir que, tanto a fluoxetina quanto a venlafaxina reduziram a velocidade do fluxo salivar (VFS) e causaram hipertrofia da glândula parótida de rato, tendo a fluoxetina uma ação anticolinérgica mais pronunciada. A pilocarpina contribuiu para aumentar a VFS, principalmente no grupo que recebeu venlafaxina, sugerindo o uso de pilocarpina para tratamento da hipossalivação causada por este fármaco.
