El parvovirus B19 podría estar implicado en la etiopatogenia de la arteritis de células gigantes, principalmente en aquellos pacientes que muestran una alta carga viral; sin embargo, no encontramos ninguna evidencia a favor de la posible implicación del virus de la varicela zóster y el virus herpes humano 6.
