TREATMENT ISSUES IN TYPE 1 DIABETES - STRATEGIES FOR INSULIN USE
Abstract
The topic of approaches to insulin treatment is of great importance in the management of type 1 diabetes, and has growing applicability to all forms of diabetes as we strive for optimized glycemia. Strategies for insulin use for persons with type 1 diabetes involve focus on overall glycemic management and use of the new short-acting meal-related and long-acting basal insulin analogs. This article is based on a previous review. (1)
