Resumen
O interesse pela utilização de corticosteróide antenatal é grande devido aos benefícios que promove na maturação fetal, já bem evidenciados na literatura. Com a disseminação do uso dos corticosteróides surge a preocupação dos possíveis efeitos colaterais para o feto das doses repetidas de corticosteróides administrados durante a gestação. Diante desta preocupação, esse artigo constitui-se em uma revisão da literatura a respeito dos efeitos dos ciclos múltiplos dos corticosteróides, tanto em animais como em humanos.

MULTIPLE COURSES OF ANTENATAL CORTICOSTEROIDS
Abstract
The use of antenatal corticosteroids is of great interest because of the benefits for fetal maturation, which is very well proven in the literature. The dissemination of use of corticosteroids originates the concern about the possible side effects in the fetus of repeated courses of corticosteroids administered during pregnancy. Because of this, this article has been made as a revision of the literature on the effects of multiple courses of antenatal corticosteroids, both in animal and humans.
