MANAGEMENT OF CHRONIC HEPATITIS C VIRAL INFECTION

Abstract
In the last four decades, a huge improvement in the treatment of chronic hepatitis C has been achieved and the complete response rate has almost tripled. However, there are still some fields of discussion, such as the adequate dose and ideal duration of the treatment, the treatment of non responder patients or those coinfected with HIV, the management of the postransplant hepatitis or the use of interferon in children. The last update on some of these issues is presented in this revision.
