Nephron

BB SIIC. Ingreso: 2003-
'Nephron' (Editor-in-Chief 'The Nephron Journals': Fine, L.G., London) concentrates on three specialised areas in the form of three subjournals:
Nephron Clinical Practice (Editor: Powis, S., London)
Nephron Experimental Nephrology (Editor: Woolf, A.S., London)
Nephron Physiology (Editor: Unwin, R.S., London).
Rather than providing the traditional coverage typical of many speciality journals, this new format accounts for the recurring concern of readers that their specific interests within a field are often diluted to the point of finding little of relevance in such journals. Each of the three subjournals is under the editorship of an internationally recognised leader and served by a specialised editorial board. Those with a broad spectrum of interests or institutions can subscribe to the complete 'Nephron' edition (print, online or both), whereas for individuals who are interested in one specialised area only, the online editions of the subjournals are available separately.
Apart from high-quality, original research 'Nephron' publishes minireviews on topics of current interest which are designed to update, to inform clinical practitioners and to provide an educational forum. Clinical physiology, fluid and electrolyte homeostasis and urinary tract function are all embraced. In addition, highlights and editorial comments are a regular feature which serve to provide a balance and insight to the practising clinician and to the well-focused scientist.
Nephron’ is listed in bibliographical services, including Current Contents/Life Sciences, Index Medicus/MEDLINE, Reference Update, Excerpta Medica, Biological Abstracts, SIIC Data Bases and all major databases.

NeuroImmunoModulation
Official Journal of the International Society for Neuroimmunomodulation

BB SIIC. Ingreso: 2004-
The rapidly expanding area of research known as neuroimmunomodulation explores the way in which the nervous system interacts with the immune system via neural, hormonal, and paracrine actions. Encompassing both basic and clinical research, ‘Neuroimmunomodulation’ reports on all aspects of these interactions. Basic investigations consider all neural and humoral networks from molecular genetics through cell regulation to integrative systems of the body. The journal also aims to clarify the basic mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of the CNS pathology in AIDS patients and in various neurodegenerative diseases. Although primarily devoted to research articles, timely reviews are published on a regular basis. To ensure high quality, all papers are reviewed by at least two referees, with every effort made to maintain a short publication time.
Neuroimmunomodulation’ is listed in bibliographic services, including Index Medicus, Reference Update, Excerpta Medica, Neuroscience Citation Index/MEDLINE, SIIC Data Bases and all major databases.
