A useful and reliable laparoscopic approach to difficult appendectomy
THE BASE-FIRST TECHNIQUE IN LAPAROSCOPIC APPENDECTOMY

Appendectomy is one of the most frequent surgical procedure performed. We propose our laparoscopic procedure approaching, firstly, the appendiceal base by using a linear stapler to resect the viscus. Then mesoappendix is resected. This technique seems to be simpler and safe also in complicated appendicitis.

Un abordaje útil y confiable de laparoscopia para la apendicectomía compleja.
La Técnica Base-First en la Apendicectomía Laparoscópica

La apendicectomía es uno de los procedimientos quirúrgicos realizados con mayor frecuencia. Se propone un procedimiento laparoscópico que aborda, en primer lugar, la base del apéndice mediante una grapadora lineal para la resección de la víscera. Luego, el mesoapéndice es removido. La técnica parece sencilla y segura, incluso para la apendicitis complicada.
