Hoda Tomoum describes for SIIC the most significant aspects of his article describe para SIIC los aspectos relevantes de su artículo The role of heart type fatty acids binding protien. CARDIAC CHANGES IN EPILEPSY The cardiac changes that could happen in non cardiac patients with intractable epilepsy were studied. The serum levels measurement of a novel cardiac marker namely, the Heart type fatty acid binding protein were performed and indicated an increase in both the ictal and the inter-ictal phases, as well as changes detected at the analysis of the ictal and the inter-ictal electrocardiographic changes in such patients. Through our results we cast the light on the possibility of a sort of asymptomatic cardiac ischemia that could accompany intractable epilepsy.
