Drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms: a clinicoepidemiological study

We observed phenytoin induced DRESS to be relatively mild whereas dapsone drug, female sex and atypical lymphocytes in peripheral smear were associated with severe DRESS. In our study, high eosinophil count was not associated with a bad prognosis.
