HAND TRANSPLANTATION: IS IT WORTH IT? A HAND AMPUTEE PERSPECTIVE

From the perspective of hand amputee patients, no clear preference towards hand transplantation, with its inherent risks, was shown. With increase spread of centers offering hand VCAs worldwide, the benefits must be carefully weighed against the risks of lifelong immunosuppressive therapy.
