EFECTOS DE LOS ANTIOXIDANTES POLIFENOLICOS EN EL ESTRES OXIDATIVO INDUCIDO POR EL EJERCICIO

Para analizar el efecto que los antioxidantes ejercen sobre el estrés oxidativo en humanos es necesario utilizar diferentes biomarcadores de estrés oxidativo simultáneamente. Los resultados obtenidos sugieren que los antioxidantes polifenólicos son capaces de disminuir el daño oxidativo atenuando la peroxidación lipídica y disminuyendo la oxidación proteica que produce la actividad física intensa; no obstante, el estado antioxidante total plasmático no se vio alterado tras la administración de los antioxidantes polifenólicos en los deportistas somentidos al estudio.
