Esta revisión propende la comprensión de los posibles vínculos existentes entre los trastornos temporomandibulares y los síntomas óticos referidos

¿SINTOMAS OTICOS Y TRASTORNOS TEMPOROMANDIBULARES VINCULADOS?

Se hace necesario el manejo multidisciplinario en la comprensión de la sintomatología ótica sin un origen auditivo, en el que el médico aporta una importante valoración -por exclusión- de las patologías infecciosas, traumáticas o sensorioneurales, y en el cual el odontólogo, una vez descartado el origen primario de la sintomatología ótica en el sistema auditivo, pueda colaborar en la supresión de la actividad muscular estomatognática disfuncional. Los síntomas referidos en los trastornos temporomandibulares son difíciles de diagnosticar y se hace imperativo el constante aprendizaje en estos tópicos.
