El dolor es un síntoma frecuente en el paciente hemodializado, presente en su vida cotidiana y durante las sesiones de hemodiálisis. Es un dolor de tipo músculo-esquelético y de intensidad leve y más frecuente cuanto mayor es el tiempo de permanencia en hemodiálisis. El dolor intradiálisis presenta un tratamiento y manejo inadecuado. Es necesario que la enfermería adopte una actitud más activa frente a la valoración del dolor para lograr un mejor manejo y así, aumentar el bienestar del paciente.
