El amplio periodo de estudio sugiere buen pronóstico de los tumores borderline de ovario, por lo que es posible el tratamiento conservador

El seguimiento de 23 casos de tumores borderline de ovario durante 10 años mostró la remisión completa de 20 de los casos, la mayor parte de ellos tras un tratamiento conservador que mantuvo incluso la fertilidad de las mujeres en edad de procrear.
