La leche enriquecida con ácidos grasos n-3 y oleico aporta beneficios en el metabolismo de lípidos y glucosa en pacientes con síndrome metabólico

La suplementación de la dieta con ácidos grasos omega 3 y oleico, junto con vitaminas A y E, reduce de manera significativa los niveles de triglicéridos y de colesterol total y LDL, además de los niveles basales de glucosa y de homocisteina en pacientes con síndrome metabólico. Este efecto no puede atribuirse a una modificación en otros componentes de la dieta ni a una reducción de su peso.
