Primeiro trabalho randomizado e controlado que testa simultaneamente as alternativas para alivio da dor durante a biópsia de prostata

PAPEL DAS DIFERENTES MODALIDADES DE ANESTESIA EM BIOPSIA DE PROSTATA

O estudo demostra claramente que a biópsia de prostata nao deve ser realizada sem nenhum metodo de analgesia. Das modalidades testadas, o emprego do bloqueio periprostatico e a sedacao endovenosa sao as opcoes efetivas. O emprego de baixas doses de meperidina e midazolam pode ser realizada com seguranca em ambiente de consultorio.
