Textos Completos Autorizados

Renewed calls for abortion-related research in the post-Roe era.

Fuente:Frontiers in Public Health

Extracto: Critical insights and reflections from reproductive justice, community engagement, and applied ethics frameworks have bolstered existing research ethics scholarship and discourse by underscoring the importance of meaningful engagement with community stakeholders-bringing attention to overlapping structures of oppression, including racism, sexism, and ways that these structures are perpetuated in the research process.

Enhancing self-care education amongst medical students

Enhancing self-care education amongst medical students

Fuente:Bmc Medical Education

Tipo de trabajo:Revisión

Extracto: Greater dedicated time and conducive practice environments within medical school curricula is required to enhance medical student wellbeing. Host organizations must ensure faculty are appropriately selected to instil the importance of self-care, be trained to assess and personalize self-care interventions and provide longitudinal assessment and support. Further study into assessing self-care capabilities is required.

Evolution in key indicators of maternal and child health across the wealth gradient in 41 sub-Saharan African countries, 1986-2019.

Fuente:Bmc Medicine

Extracto: Maternal and child health indicators show progress, but the distributional effects show differential evolutions in inequalities. Several reasons may explain why countries had smaller wealth-related gap trends in vaccination-related indicators compared to others. In addition to service delivery differences, we hypothesize that the allocation of development assistance for health, the prioritization of vaccine-preventable diseases on the global agenda, and indirect effects of structural adjustment programs on health system-related indicators might have played a role.
