Textos Completos Autorizados

Clinical breast cancer screening uptake and associated factors among reproductive age women in Kenya: further analysis of Kenyan Demographic and Health Survey 2022.

Clinical breast cancer screening uptake and associated factors among reproductive age women in Kenya: further analysis of Kenyan Demographic and Health Survey 2022.

Fuente:Plos One

Extracto: In this study, the prevalence of CBCSU among reproductive-age women in Kenya was found to be low. Besides, factors such as age, educational status, wealth index, family planning utilization, and community media exposure were identified as significant contributors to screening uptake. Therefore, policymakers and stakeholders should design interventions that address factors contributing to low breast cancer screening uptake, particularly targeting women in areas with limited media exposure, to increase the uptake of clinical breast cancer screening.

Fetal umbilical vein thrombosis associated with fetal bartter syndrome

Fetal umbilical vein thrombosis associated with fetal bartter syndrome

Fuente:Bmc Pregnancy and Childbirth

Tipo de trabajo:Revisión

Extracto: This case highlights a suspected instance of umbilical vein thrombosis and polyhydramnios potentially linked to fetal Bartter syndrome. Currently, the causes of umbilical vein thrombosis primarily focus on abnormalities in umbilical cord structure or mechanical injury to the cord, with few cases involving fetal genetic conditions. The purpose of this report is to enhance medical professionals' understanding of Bartter syndrome and to consider it as a possible cause of fetal umbilical vein thrombosis and polyhydramnios. Further research should explore the link between fetal Bartter syndrome, umbilical vein thrombosis, and polyhydramnios. Additionally, strengthening case collection and analysis will help accumulate experience, optimize management strategies, and improve maternal and fetal outcomes.

Development of the Japanese version of the perceived time poverty scale.

Fuente:Plos One

Extracto: The Japanese version of the Perceived Time Poverty Scale is a reliable tool with a certain degree of validity for assessing time poverty in Japan. This scale enables individuals and households to recognize time poverty as a modern form of poverty. Furthermore, businesses and local governments can utilize it as an indicator in practical settings, such as improving work environments, implementing childcare support programs, and promoting community health. Future longitudinal studies are needed to further validate the scale, including addressing issues related to model fit.
